Led by Visa’s Chief Data Officer, the Global Data Office coordinates high-impact, complex, company-wide projects related to data business strategy, critical investments, policy development, and marketplace execution. Working closely with Visa’s Chief Privacy Officer, the Technology organization, the wider data community, and the full set of Visa’s global lines of business, the Global Data Office is evolving Visa’s data-related work with momentum and enthusiasm. The Sr. Manager, Strategy & Business Operations is responsible for supporting the Business Operations team, reporting to the Director of Business Operations. This individual will play an important role in driving the execution of critical business priorities for the Global Data Office. The position is responsible for consolidating, coordinating, and planning business deliverables which include Quarterly Business Reviews, OKRs, and Product Roadmap. The role requires a high level of professionalism, leadership, and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with a wide variety of internal stakeholders.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, strategic, and collaborative skills combined with meaningful operational experience and the ability to work across a matrix business organization structure. This role is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of Data & AI innovation at Visa with exposure to key Product and Technology leads.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across Product and Platform leads, ensuring seamless coordination and timely delivery
  • Engage with key stakeholders across various levels of the organization to build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring alignment and support for critical data priorities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Head of Business Operations for the Global Data Office, providing expert guidance on products, platforms, and data initiatives
  • Support the Head of Business Operations in synthesizing key information and developing internal presentations for GDO leadership team and quarterly business reviews
  • Demonstrate knowledge of capabilities and technologies in a payments ecosystem and the ability to apply them in a wide range of situations from ideation to solution
  • Lead internal tracking and monitoring of key operational metrics for productivity and efficiency across Product and Technology teams
  • Develop internal communications to effectively convey operational goals, progress, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the Global Data Office practices and operations, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Lead and manage special projects ensuring timely and successful completion

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Visa or payment industry experience with understanding of consumer card payment solutions
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Strategic mindset, ability to see the big picture while managing the operational execution and ability to communicate complex concepts to a broad audience in an approachable way
  • Analytical thinking, demonstrated intellectual rigor and ability to synthesize relevant data, produce sound analysis, and draw meaningful insights
  • Proven ability to partner, communicate, and manage/ navigate across functions and teams, facilitating conversations to drive decision-making
  • Team player with high degree of collaboration while holding self and others accountable for measurable high quality, timely, and effective deliverables
  • Self-motivated, a solution-oriented individual and resourceful problem-solver with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of output

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $149,900 to $217,500 per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
